Add competitors
Open Competitors, pick a brand and click Add competitor. Give a name and, for each source you want, the competitor's account: an Instagram professional account, a YouTube channel, a Bluesky handle, a Facebook Page (for the Meta Ad Library) and a TikTok advertiser name. A brand can follow up to 10 competitors.
Suggest competitors asks AI for a few likely competitors from the brand's name, website, industry and country. It uses your monthly AI allowance. Suggestions are names to check, not facts: nothing is added until you click Add, and you fill in the accounts yourself.
What is compared
Once a day Reachio reads each account and your brand's own account on the same source, so the numbers compare:
- Instagram: followers, posts in the last 30 days and average likes + comments per post. Read through your brand's own connected Instagram professional account (Business Discovery). Only business and creator accounts answer; accounts that hide likes show fewer.
- YouTube: subscribers, videos and total views exactly as YouTube gives them. YouTube's rules allow no averages from other channels' data and no more than 30 days of history, so Reachio keeps 30 days.
- Bluesky: followers, posts in the last 30 days and average likes, reposts and replies, from Bluesky's public service.
Competitors' ads
- Meta Ad Library: active ads that reached the EU, with their start date, platforms and text. It needs a Meta connection; the person who connected must have confirmed their identity at facebook.com/ID.
- TikTok ad library: ads shown in the EU, once TikTok approves Reachio for its Commercial Content API.
Reachio does not download or keep the creative. View opens the ad in the platform's own library. When a competitor starts new ads, the dashboard's attention list says so; switch this off per brand with Stop new-ad alerts. New-ad alerts are on by default for every brand: you do not need to switch anything on. Stop new-ad alerts turns them off for one brand only, and Alert me about new ads turns them back on.
What is not there
Google and LinkedIn publish their ad libraries without an API, and Reachio does not scrape websites, so their ads are not shown. X needs paid API access; Facebook Page figures need a separate Meta approval; TikTok profile figures are not offered. When a source needs a connection, a key or an approval, the Sources box says which.
How long data is kept
Daily figures and ads are kept 13 months (YouTube figures 30 days), then deleted. Removing a competitor deletes its figures and ads at once. Only public business accounts are read; no personal data.
