Reachio creates new campaigns on Meta and Google (Search with responsive search ads, Display, Demand Gen and Performance Max). Apple Ads campaigns, ad groups and keywords can be created through change sets. Creating campaigns on LinkedIn, TikTok, Microsoft and Pinterest is not built yet.
1. Make a launch plan
Press New launch above the Launches list. A plan has an ad account, an objective (traffic, leads, sales, awareness), a budget, one ad set or ad group per audience, and creatives — from Studio projects or the media library, with the copy prefilled from the Studio's ad package and editable.
2. The pre-flight check
Before a plan can go to approval, and again before launch, Reachio checks it:
- alt text on every image, and image sizes for each placement;
- text within each platform's limits;
- the landing page answers, and UTM parameters are on it;
- the budget is above the platform's minimum;
- for the EU on Meta: the beneficiary and payer (DSA) are set, and no political ads;
- special ad categories (credit, employment, housing) are declared.
Each error says what to fix.
3. Approval, then launch
A launch always needs approval, and editing the plan voids it. Only managers and above launch. Reachio then creates everything on the platform paused and saves each id at once, so a retry continues where it stopped instead of creating duplicates.
4. Switching it on
A paused campaign spends nothing. Enabling it is a normal change set, so it waits for approval like any raise — see Ads, change sets and undo. Deleting what a launch created is a separate clean-up that needs its own approval.
5. Google: bid strategies, Performance Max and callouts
On Google a plan chooses its bid strategy: manual CPC, Maximize clicks, Maximize conversions, Target CPA, Maximize conversion value, Target ROAS, or a portfolio strategy of the account. Conversion bidding needs a conversion action on the account (Ads → Conversion actions); the pre-flight check warns when there is none.
Performance Max takes one audience (its countries and languages are the campaign's) and turns each creative into an asset group: a landscape and a square image, the brand logo, 3–15 headlines, a long headline, 2–5 descriptions (one of them at most 60 characters) and the business name. The asset groups are created under the paused campaign; enabling the campaign switches it all on.
After the launch, Campaigns changes a campaign's bid strategy and targets, its name, end date, countries and languages, and adds account-level callouts ("Free delivery") and portfolio Target CPA / Target ROAS strategies — all as change sets. A lower Target CPA or a higher Target ROAS lowers spend; any other change waits for approval.
