Client approvers and viewers do not work in your agency workspace. They sign in to the client portal: a short, separate place that shows only their own company's brands.
What your clients see
| Page | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Overview | How many items wait for them, what goes out next, the latest report |
| Approvals | Posts, creatives, articles and e-mails, ad changes and campaign launches whose client step waits, with a preview |
| Calendar | Planned and published posts of the month, read-only; drafts are not shown |
| Published | What went out, with each network's own link |
| Reports | Reports you have sent, with the web view and the PDF; drafts and unsent issues never show |
| Ads | The last 30 days against the 30 days before, and campaigns by spend, read-only |
A client approver can Approve or Request changes with a note. This is the same approval chain as in your workspace (see Posts and the approval chain): editing the item afterwards voids the approval. A client viewer only looks.
Inviting a client
Invite people from Agency → Team with the role Client approver or Client viewer and the client they belong to. The invitation e-mail, the invitation page and the sign-up page carry your agency's name; after accepting, the client lands in the portal. Your clients' portal address is shown under Agency → Client portal.
Your look
On Agency Pro and up, the portal, its sign-in page and every e-mail to your clients (invitations, approval requests, reports) use your name, logo and colour, and Reachio does not appear. Set them once under Agency → Client portal → Name, logo and colour (the same settings as client reports). On lower plans the portal shows your agency's name with a small "with Reachio" line.
Your own address
On Agency Pro and up you can serve the portal from a sub-domain of your own, such as portal.youragency.com:
- Under Agency → Client portal, add the sub-domain.
- At your DNS provider, add the two records Reachio shows: a CNAME that points the sub-domain at Reachio, and a TXT record that proves the name is yours.
- Reachio checks every 10 minutes. When both records are found the secure certificate is requested (Certificate on its way); within minutes the address goes Live. If no new addresses can be connected for a while, the page says so; leave the records in place and it connects by itself.
From then on invitations, approval e-mails and report links use your address, and your clients sign in there. A bare domain (youragency.com) cannot be used, because it cannot carry a CNAME. Use www.youragency.com instead and forward youragency.com to it at your domain registrar. If the records disappear, the address stops working after three failed daily checks; if they are not found within 7 days, choose Check now to try again. Remove sends your clients back to Reachio's own address.
An address that is not verified never opens anyone's portal, and on your address only your own portal opens.
